My Story
Bagonza Alexander born December 21, 1989, in Kampala, Uganda is a singer-songwriter. A Pass has enjoyed tremendous success on both the Reggae and Dancehall music charts. He is a highly versatile dancehall reggae artiste who performs four different genres of music. A Pass grew up in Kampala, where he was raised by his father and mother, and began singing in church as a child. The vocal talents of A Pass have been noted since his humble beginnings.
A Pass was inspired to become a musician by the songs he used to listen to in his father’s car. Among others, A Pass’s parents have been the source of his motivation in pursuing his musical ambitions. However, it was in High School that his love for music was developed and nurtured.
A Pass music is fast gaining popularity with hits such as WUUYO, TULI KUBIGERE, AM LOVING, GAMULULU, GIVE ME A KISS Among others. Dominating the Ugandan airwaves as some of the most frequently requested songs on popular radio stations in Uganda and Africa.
His popularity and musical talent has attracted collaborations with other artistes such as Konshens, Radio and Weasel, AY, EKKY, Lilian Mbabazi, Don Mc, Cindy, Shaydee, Iyaya, and Karl Wolf among others.
A Pass has also written songs for artists such as Bebe Cool, Lilian Mbabazi(Blue3), Jackie Kyandilu (Blue3)Cindy(Blue3), and Ekky Among Others.
A Pass states, “It has been a wonderful journey so far, filled with new and promising encounters. It is also challenging but I love what I am doing, so it makes it that much easier.” My main objective is to take music to the optimum level. “I want every household across the world to know and love my music and where I come from”, A Pass enthuses. Whether it is personal or musical, I just think I’m a walking art piece, just a ball of creativity. Currently, A Pass is the most sought-after brand, with association with corporate brands such as Buzz, Ambition Mission (a project that involved sensitizing the youth about the dangers of smoking tobacco and also encouraging students to stay in school and have ambitions and goals in life), He has worked on several projects with Airtel Uganda; Happiness continues, Kyabiise, and Tugabane AND He is currently working on a campaign with KFC Uganda.
